THE ASEAN-Japan Centre (AJC) will be hosting the 3rd ASEAN-Japan Women Entrepreneurs’ Linkage Programme (AJWELP) in Kuala Lumpur on January 29, as a business presentation event to link novice women entrepreneurs with supporting companies, mentors and others.
It will be co-hosted by SME Corporation Malaysia in cooperation with the ASEAN Secretariat; the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (ACCMSME); the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD); the ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network (AWEN); and other relevant organisations.
In this event, AJWELP finalists representing respective ASEAN member states will each make a presentation on their business plans and the challenges that they face before several company representatives from ASEAN member states and Japan.
The presenters will then receive various kinds of assistance from supporting companies and mentors on their business plans, along with advice for possible solutions to their business challenges.
The business presentation event will be open to registered members of the public, and among the mentors scheduled to participate in the programme is former chair of AWEN Pacita Juan.
