BRUNEI Darussalam national team forward Adi Said made a third pre-season appearance for his new club UiTM FC in the 1-1 draw against Kuala Lumpur FA at the Kuala Lumpur Stadium recently.
The new signing is pushing for a place in the starting line-up ahead of the new Malaysia Premier League season in 2019 which UiTM compete in.
Adi’s teammate Muhammad Nizaruddin bin Jazi scored an equaliser in the 84th minute after Indra Putra Mahyuddin had given Kuala Lumpur a 15th minute lead.
The Brunei international also featured in the Lion Troops’ 3-1 friendly loss against reigning Malaysia FA Cup champions Pahang FA at the Darul Makmur Stadium and a 2-0 win against PKNP FC at the Manjung Municipal Council Stadium.
Adi, who enjoyed his best season in the Singapore Premier League last term with 11 goals and 11 assists, will continue his progress in new colours in the next pre-season match against Malaysia Super League giants Selangor FA tomorrow.
The former DPMM FC forward joined the club after impressing the coach with a hat-trick during a friendly match last month.
UiTM finished ninth last season in Malaysia’s second tier a year after they managed their best ever position in the league in sixth place.
