Some 20 students of Brunei Darussalam Sports School received aid from Mitsubishi Corporation at the school’s hall yesterday.
Mitsubishi Corporation’s country representative Tadashi Hara presented the donation to students, comprising orphans and those from underprivileged families.
Hara in his speech said, “This year as part of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan and upcoming Hari Raya celebration, we would like to thank the Brunei Darussalam Sports School for giving us the opportunity to support our CSR activity this year.”
He added, ”We hope that the donation does not only help alleviate the financial burden but also create awareness for others to give to people who are in need of support and encourage the culture of giving back to the community.”
Meanwhile, the school’s deputy principal Haji Mohd Azrin bin Haji Aji thanked Mitsubishi Corporation for the donation and gave a brief introduction about the school to the donor. – James Kon
