Some 24 participants, comprising youth and adults alike, learnt pastry making as part of the cake culinary workshop that started on Sunday.
Organised by the Belait District Youth and Sports Department in collaboration with the PERTIWI Association, the workshop aims to bring pastry experts to disseminate information and teach the participants the ins and outs of baking cakes.
On the first day of the workshop, participants learnt how to make rainbow cakes as well as cheese roll cakes, while supervised by experts and members of the PERTIWI Association.
The department also hopes that the knowledge gained will help to provide the participants with a path to entrepreneurship while helping them gain self-confidence in baking.
The workshop is slated to be held four times, with sessions held twice a month and participants following different recipes.
