2.7pc increase in vehicles on Brunei roads in 2019

The Land Transport Department (JPD) recorded 289,978 active vehicles on Brunei roads in 2019, an increase of 2.7 per cent from the previous year.

In terms of driving licences, 243,745 active vehicles were recorded as of July 2020. The statistics were highlighted during a working visit by Legislative Council (LegCo) members to the JPD Headquarters in Beribi yesterday, in preparation for a dialogue session with the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) next year.
