167 COVID cases recover

Some 167 COVID-19 cases were declared recovered yesterday, bringing the total number of recoveries to 221,695.

No COVID-related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours.

These details were disclosed by the Ministry of Health in its daily report.

The Sultanate currently has no cases in Category 5 requiring treatment at the intensive care unit, while one case in Category 4 requires respiratory assistance and is under close monitoring.

Meanwhile, 84.4 per cent of children aged five to 11 have received at least two vaccine doses, while 60.7 per cent of adolescents aged 12 to 17 have been administered the third dose.

The coverage rate of Brunei population with three shots of vaccine remained at 78.1 per cent, while 10 per cent received the fourth shot.
