Sixteen compound fines have been issued to date for offences related to foreign vehicle pass stickers, the Land Transport Department (JPD) said.
“JPD advised owners and drivers of foreign registered vehicles in the country to comply with the regulations on the application of foreign vehicle pass stickers currently being enforced,” the agency said in a statement.
“Failure to do so is liable to action under Chapter 204 the Infectious Diseases Act, where the penalty is a compound fine of up to BND5,000, or prosecuted in court, which carries the penalty of a fine of up to BND10,000 or jail of up to six months, or both.”
