Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry (AITI) of Brunei Darussalam Chief Executive Ir Haji Jailani bin Haji Buntar said the Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB)-AITI leadership course provides participants with knowledge, experience and an opportunity to network.
He said this at the certificate presentation ceremony for AITI’s senior officers to mark the completion of the course at the UTB Library Complex yesterday.
He believed the skills gained from the programme will serve them well as the experience working under time pressure prepared them to bring AITI to the next level.
He called on the senior officers to continue to nurture the relationships built during the programme and share their knowledge with their colleagues.
He said sharing their experiences, can help improve the overall level of leadership, making a positive impact on the people around them.
Dean of UTB School of Business Dr Fadzliwati binti Mohiddin shared that UTB has been conducting executive development programmes for officers from both public and private sectors as part of the quadruple helix engagement to contribute to the nation.
The UTB-AITI executive leadership programme aims at assistant managers, chief technical officers and senior technical officers from AITI.
The second batch will commence on May 30, he added.
Meanwhile, UTB Vice Chancellor Datin Paduka Professor Dr Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman presented certificates to 12 AITI assistant managers, one chief technical officer and two senior technical officers.
