The overall population that has received the fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine reached 11 per cent yesterday, while the coverage rate of the population with three shots of the vaccine stands at 78.7 per cent.
The inoculation statistics for children aged five to 11 with two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine is 86.4 per cent, while 61.8 per cent of adolescents aged 12 to 17 have been administered the third dose.
Meanwhile, there are no cases in categories 4 or 5. Category 4 is when a COVID-19 patient needs respiratory assistance and close monitoring while a patient in Category 5 requires treatment at the intensive care unit.
No COVID-19 fatalities were recorded in the last 24 hours.
Details on the COVID-19 situation in the country was shared by the Ministry of Health in its daily press statement.
Meanwhile, 449 recoveries were recorded yesterday, bringing the national tally of COVID-19 recoveries to 240,746.
