A vehicle suspected of carrying 40 kilogrammes of chicken wings and 60 kilogrammes of meat without a halal import permit was uncovered during an integrated operation on May 12.
The operation was carried out by the enforcement officers of the Halal Food Control Division, Syariah Affairs Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) and the Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED).
The chicken wings and meat were confiscated and the case handed over to the RCED.
The MoRA expressed gratitude for the information on the matter.
