THE Young Entrepreneur Association of Brunei (YEAB) in partnership with Progresif Cellular Sdn Bhd and Readymix Concrete (B) Sdn Bhd handed out baskets of goods to 10 families yesterday for the Chinese New Year celebration.
According to a press release from the YEAB, the donation drive set off from Progresif headquarters in Gadong and visited houses in Muara, Limau Manis, Rimba, Bandar Seri Begawan, Serasa, Mulaut, Beribi, Kiarong, Mentiri and Wasan.
Readymix and Progresif have been showing support to youth development in the country. It was also shared that YEAB annually conducts its ‘Basket Brigade’ programme during Hari Raya as part of its social activity and community outreach initiative, which to date, has supported over 120 in Temburong.
Legislative Council member and a former president of YEAB Yang Berhormat Nik Hafimi binti Abdul Haadii said, “This year we are extending this initiative to Chinese families to share our support for the Chinese New Year celebration for the first time thanks to the proactive initiative of our Executive Committee members.
“We hope that YEAB can become an association that plays a proactive role in society beyond entrepreneurship development as we want to be of value to community.
“We are pleased to have the support of Progresif led by Head of Internal Audit Norfaezah binti Haji Ibrahim and Readymix led by Marketing Executive Wendy Chok and four other team members as well as YEAB members who have contributed to make this initiative happen.”
