Ten participants are attending the ongoing Gol Brasil Futsal Community Coaching Course Certificate Level 1 at the PGGMB Building in Jalan Kianggeh, which ends tomorrow.
The three-day course is conducted by Haji Puspa bin Haji Mohammad, who is a local instructor internationally-certified by Gol Brasil.
The course aims to revive activities which had been interrupted in the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic besides producing effective and quality coaches as well as providing exposure to modern, current and updated futsal.
It also serves to introduce new methods including working with game concepts, giving players the tools to use during the game and a progressive learning process.
Among the highlights of the course are the fundamentals which can be applied during the game such as introduction of basic rotation, principles of shooting and principles of ball control.
Participants will also be able to grasp knowledge on the principles of dribbling skills at multiple levels and principles of passing and support play.
The first day of the course covered theoretical aspects while the practical sessions will take place today.
The course will conclude with an eight-minute practical assessment for participants followed by a match mimicking a real-life situation with players and coaches.
Meanwhile, an opening ceremony was held yesterday which witnessed the presentation of certificate of new methodology of futsal syllabus and Gol Brasil official polo shirt.
Executive Director of Syarikat Gol Brasil Futsal Institute Md Nurasfa Nabihan Hakeem bin Haji Puspa officiated the opening of the course.
