WITH the recent success of Yasmine The Movie in Brunei and internationally, the Yasmine team paid a visit to Yayasan Children’s Cancer Foundation (YASKA Brunei) at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital.
The trip was aimed to cheer the children in the ward with the presence of lead actress Liyana Yus, supporting actress Nadiah Wahid and director Siti Kamaluddin.
During the visit, the trio took time to greet the children and play several games with them, their guardians and the nurses.
Liyana, Nadiah and Siti also had a look at the facilities available and activities conducted to engage with the children.
The Yasmine team later went to see the children in their respective wards and handed several Yasmine goodies and toys to them.
“I really enjoy doing these charity appearances. I had a fantastic time at the ward with the children. It is such an amazing feeling watching them play so lively even in their (present) situation,” said Liyana Yus.
Siti Kamaluddin said that she loved the optimism of the children and that she had a great time with them at the YASKA centre, wishing to engage in more of such events in the future.
Yasmine is currently on its fifth week in theatres and has managed to surpass several Hollywood blockbuster films at the local cinemas. Over the school holidays, the team will be visiting the cinemas to surprise the Yasmine audience.
