THE President of Brunei Darussalam Wushu Federation yesterday called on youth to be members of the association during the Annual General Meeting that was held at the Stadium Restaurant yesterday.
In his welcoming remark, Ang Swee Chuan stated, “We want more young people to join us and be a member of the executive committee. This is necessary as they can be the future leaders of the federation.”
He also highlighted the federation’s achievement in the last two years. “Wushu has become one of the popular national sports in the country and has also brought numerous glories to the country.”
The federation still has room for improvements and more activities need to be organised in the future, Ang Swee Chuan added.
To avoid misunderstanding between Wushu branches, he proposed to conduct regular meetings for better communications.
Meanwhile, an election of the new office bearers was scheduled to take place yesterday but due to the lack of attendees, it had to be postponed.
