AS A passionate advocate of healthy living, Brunei’s very own international star Wu Chun is hosting a Radio Television Brunei (RTB)’s Mandarin radio programme titled “Good Health”.
The weekly radio programme is aired every Tuesday at 5pm and repeated on Sundays at 9.30am.
It will be co-hosted by DJ Ping Fan.
The show touches on topics relating to health, including preventive measures for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) as well as the benefits of exercise and a balanced diet.
The first show yesterday highlighted Wu Chun’s active involvement in promoting healthy lifestyle in the country.
During an interview with Bulletin, Wu Chun said, “The radio programme is part of an MoU between Fitness Zone and the Ministry of Health (MoH).
“Through the programme, I want to share my experience and knowledge with Brunei’s community.”
Wu Chun also raised concerns over the high number of (NCD) cases such as cancer, heart diseases, diabetes and high blood pressure, which have become among the main causes of deaths in the past decade.
According to a MoH report in 2012, a total of 670 premature deaths or 55 per cent of the 1,216 deaths were due to NCDs.
During the programme, special guests such as fitness instructors, doctors, specialists and dietitians will be invited to speak on specific topics.
Members of the public who want to post health-related questions, can e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Individual whose questions are selected would receive a gift from Wu Chun.
