It was the first time I flew aboard Malaysia Airlines as we set out for our travel to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia recently.
I found it amazingly comfortable, with very polite and attentive crew members to attend to flight guests, making the experience even more worthwhile.
As part of our visit to Malaysia via Malaysia Airlines, we were given the opportunity to tour the Golden Lounge and the Platinum Lounge before we departed back to Brunei on the last day.
The Golden Lounge caters to Business Class and First Class guests of the Malaysia Airlines before they fly off to their next destination.
Before entering the Golden Lounge, airline guests check-in at Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s beautifully designed Enrich Platinum members’ counters and are then accompanied by ground hosts or hostesses to the Golden Lounge.
Dubbed ‘Home Away From Home’, the lounge serves variety of delicious hot cuisines and is fully equipped with a business centre, as well as a more private space for people to rest and get some nap.
Also available in the Golden lounge is the Kid’s Corner, which is carefully designed for children and is complete with provisions to clean and nurse babies.
Even young children can entertain themselves with various latest toys!
We were also taken into the Platinum Suite, which is reserved for the highest tier of frequent flyers.
The Platinum Suite, slightly smaller than the Golden Lounge is a private lounge that offers premium services, products and brands, and is exclusive only for the Enrich Platinum members.
Like the Golden Lounge, the Platinum Suite too offers private rooms for guests to rest in, as well as a nursery and hotel-standard shower rooms for its guests. When you enter the Platinum Suite you immediately feel a sense of high-status and comfort!
In the Golden Lounge you can access Internet via Wi-Fi, or on one of their Internet-enabled desktops. You also have this amazing range of facilities from printing and copying to postal services and there is even a meeting room for business persons. With all these easy accesses, business persons can confidently rest assured about smooth business meetings.
A latest offer by Malaysia Airlines is called OneWorld which is “an alliance of the world’s leading airlines committed to providing the highest level of service and convenience to almost 1,000 destinations worldwide.”
The OneWorld enables passengers to fly with OneWorld partner airlines to their destinations without relying solely on Malaysia Airlines.
This global network of airlines gives an opportunity to airline guests to enjoy an array of special privileges and rewards that also include access to over 600 premium airport lounges.
The global network of airlines comprise of Airberlin, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, LAN, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Royal Jordanian, S7, and TAM. Being in the Golden and the Platinum lounges of Malaysia Airlines is an experience of sheer luxury and class that surely will bring you back to the airlines again and again.
