THE wives of the delegates of the Chiefs of Defence Conference visited Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam recently.
The purpose of their visit to the centre was to explore non-government organisations and centres of education and training, as well as caring and rehabilitation facilities for special needs children in Brunei. They also got an opportunity to meet the special needs children of the centre.
The guests were briefed about the centre at the multi-purpose hall, after which they participated in simulation activities to prepare themselves to mingle with the special needs children of the centre.
The wives of the delegates then toured the Physical Rehabilitation Unit and later enjoyed performances by the students of the centre at the multi-purpose hall.
Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam is a non-government and non-profit organisation which provides education, training, care and rehabilitation services to special needs people in Brunei Darussalam. At present there are 150 special needs individuals registered at the centre in Kg Bengkurong and 51 special needs children at its Kuala Belait branch.
