I HAVE been a patient at the Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Muta-Wakkilah Hayatul Bolkiah Health Centre for the past few years. From 2016 up till this year, the receptionists at the registration counter and dental counter were always so rude to me. I am not sure if other patients receive the same treatment.
Last year, one of the receptionists just shrugged me off when I wasn’t even done talking. She didn’t even receive my payment and simply turned her chair away and continued to talk to her colleagues. It was extremely rude!
I get that working is really tiring, but you don’t have to be rude to other people. Yes, they might be younger than you, but hey, that doesn’t mean that you can talk harshly to them while they are being nice to you. I see this kind of behaviour in most government clinics.
To the Ministry of Health or to whom it may concern, I beg you to work on your staff’s manners and etiquette please.
If they are having a bad day or having some personal issues, don’t mix it up with work.
