BINTULU (NST) – A waterspout was seen off the coast of Bintulu near the Malaysia LNG (MLNG) complex at about 11am.
However, Sarawak Fire and Rescue department director Nor Hisham Mohamed when contacted said no distress calls were received from the public.
He added that there were also no reports of injuries or damage to property.
This is the second such incident this week. On Tuesday, heavy rain and strong winds formed a landspout that created havoc in Kampung Alor Besar and Taman Sri Kota in Kuala Kedah.
Several houses in the village and a school building were damaged in the incident.
