THE Public Works Department (JKR) through the Ministry of Development informed the public on water supply disruption at several areas in the Brunei-Muara District starting 9.30pm tonight.
According to a press statement, the affected areas include Kg Wasan, Kg Batong, Kg Panchor Murai, Kg Limau Manis, Kg Sinarubai, Kg Telanai, Kg Katok ‘A’ and ‘B’, Kg Dadap, Beribi area, Kiulap area, Kg Kiarong, Kg Tungku, Kg Rimba National Housing Scheme, Lambak Kanan National Housing Scheme, Berakas area, Berakas camp, Terunjing, Jalan Lambak Berakas, Kg Madang, Kg Meragang, Kg Tanah Jambu, Muara Coast, Kg Subok, Jalan Kota Batu to Kg Serdang, Jalan Kebangsaan, Bandar Seri Begawan area, Kg Ayer, Kg Lumapas, Kg Kasat, Kg Putau, Kg Menunggol and the surrounding areas.
Low water pressure will be experienced at lowland areas while elevated areas may not have any water. The water disruption is caused by works on a water treatment plant, water filtration system, water storage tank at Bukit Barun (Stage 7) main piping and valve installation.
Members of the public are advised to economically use their water supply and if additional water is needed, they can contact the hotline at 123.
