IN CONJUNCTION with the upcoming Chinese New Year, Warisan Utama Jaya Department Store, Jln Muara, held a Chinese calligraphy demonstration last Sunday.
The event also served to promote Chinese culture among the shoppers. Chinese calligraphy has a long standing history and is also considered as a written art.
Members from the Brunei Chinese Calligraphy Association were on hand to demonstrate the proper way of writing Chinese calligraphy.
Some of the Chinese shoppers were able to get a souvenir of Mandarin written words of wisdom and Chinese New Year greetings to be display at home for the festivity.
