I AM writing with reference to my letter “New houses ready but no access road” published in the Weekend Bulletin, October 25, 2014.
Respectfully, I wish to enquire from the relevant government agency, the latest status of the access road to the site of the new houses in Spg 472, Jalan Muara.
To give a clearer idea of the problem we are facing, I have attached a photo of the metal fence blocking the access road.
In the photo (below), one can also clearly see a lamppost that has been erected in the middle of the access road, effectively blocking the road even if the metal fencing were to be removed.
Since the road from the inside of the new housing area has already been completed, it would be simple enough for the relevant authority to remove the fence and lamp post to enable instant access to the site.
As mentioned before, this access road was approved by the relevant authority when the housing development project was first submitted.
Swift and appropriate action from the relevant government agency in resolving the issue and ensuring accessibility to the road for the convenience and comfort of all the house owners in the new housing area would be much appreciated. Please let us move into our new homes.
