THE Volvo V40 Cross Country (CC) not only sports a unique blend of ruggedness and elegance but is also equipped with Volvo’s Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake and Pedestrian Protection System, which is a world first.
Bee Motors Deputy General Manager Sharol Nizam bin Hj Ismail, said that the new preventive safety technology aims to enhance safety for pedestrians.
The V40 CC was among the new 2015 Volvo models introduced to at a soft launch hosted by the local dealer at the Volvo Showroom yesterday.
Sharol Nizam said that the V40 CC, which is the first of its range offered by Volvo Cars Corporation, also features the upgraded City Safety System, which is standard in all 2015 Volvo models.
The Cross Country models offers the driver a rides 40mm higher than the standard V40. It is enhanced by the front dark contrasting bumper, honeycomb mesh grille, the upright DRL-lights and the contrasting rear bumper with integrated skid plate.
It is available with Volvo’s new four cylinder, Drive-E power train, which is the new smaller and more intelligent engine created to give the desired blend of power, drivability and fuel efficiency.
These engines offer higher performance than today’s six-cylinder units and lower fuel consumption than the current four cylinder generation with fuel economy savings from 10 to 30 per cent.
Sharol Nizam said that Volvo is focusing and committed to real-life safety.
“We want your life to be uncomplicated and that you will always get the most out of your Volvo. That’s why we offer Volvo Service 2.0. We offer free software updates (that can make your Volvo a little better at every servicing), alternative transport and a complimentary health check on your car,” he added.
Following the soft launch yesterday, the dealer will be providing free engine check-up and a 20 per cent discount on all parts purchased until end of March.
Potential customers are invited to a test-drive from 10am to 4pm today.
