UNIVERSITI Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) held a retreat programme to review the extent to which UNISSA has successfully achieved the strategic plan outlined in the existing ‘Pelan Strategik UNISSA 2009-2018’.
Twenty-five participants consisting of officers, deans and directors of UNISSA took part in the retreat programme, which was held on September 29-30 at Mangrove Paradise Resort.
Amongst the objectives of the retreat programme was to explore UNISSA’s academic achievements as part of the university’s strategic planning.
In addition, it also aimed to help the participants improve their understanding of UNISSA’s vision and mission, as well as to help plan UNISSA’s direction of growth.
The retreat also aimed to discuss the issues, challenges and problems encountered in relation to the academic and administrative affairs in UNISSA, and to find solutions that are practical and effective.
Also present were Rector Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Acting Rector cum the facilitator of the programme Dr Haji Mohammed Hussain bin Pehin Penyurat Haji Ahmad, Assistant Rector Dr Arman bin Haji Asmad and other officers of UNISSA.
