KLANG (Bernama) – An unemployed man was charged in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday with the murder of a soldier, believed to be out of revenge, two weeks ago.
Tee Hock Keong (Bernama photo, below), 47, from Jeram, near here, was charged together with two others still at large with killing Lance Corporal Hazry Siddek, 30, in Jalan Batu Nilam 34, near Block E, Bukit Tinggi 2, here, at 2.45am on Oct 12.
The charge is under Section 302 of the Penal Code read together with Section 34 and which carries the mandatory death sentence upon conviction.
The victim who was attached to the Sungai Besi Camp, Kuala Lumpur died from stab wounds on his chest.
Tee nodded his head after the charge was read to him in Mandarin by the court interpreter.
However, no plea was recorded from the accused who was arrested on Oct 16. Magistrate Ahmad Feisal Mohd Azmi fixed Dec 1 for re-mention of the case while waiting for the post-mortem and DNA test reports.
