DST thanks the writer ‘Consumer Rights’ (Opinion Page dated Wednesday, February 4, 2015), for bringing the issue to our attention regarding the experience faced due to unauthorised charges to the customer’s Prima bill after subscribing to 3rd party applications provided by “Mobitech”. DST understands the writer has already been in touch with Mobitech and Mobitech has informed DST that they have already refunded the writer. In these situations, DST can only assist to facilitate customer complaints to the respective Content Provider so that the Content Provider can take appropriate action to resolve customers’ complaints.
DST would also like to remind customers that for any subscriptions to 3rd party services, they are bound to the 3rd party Content Providers’ Terms and Conditions. DST strongly advises customers to be aware of the Terms and Conditions of the 3rd Party Content Provider before subscribing to their services.
