FOUR cases of undeclared alcohol and five cases of undeclared cigarettes were amongst violations recorded in a joint operation codenamed ‘Operasi Sepadu,’ led by Royal Customs and Excise Department at the Kuala Lurah Control Post between 8pm and 10pm Wednesday night.
The operation, which was conducted as part of an ongoing effort to curb crime rate in the country, involved 58 officers from eight government agencies including the Traffic Police (JSKLL) of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), Royal Customs and Excise Department and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
The operation also saw three cases of undeclared frozen food. The frozen food was seized and handed over to the Halal Food Control for further inspection.
The RBPF also recorded one docket case, one compound case and conducted nine stop and searches during the period of the operation.
