TWENTY-FIVE undergraduates from Universiti Brunei Darussalam left the country for India yesterday to participate in a cultural exchange programme under ‘Asean-India Students’, which will take place until November 18.
The 10-day programme will see the students joining their peers from Cambodia, Lao PDR and Malaysia. The Brunei delegation is headed by Haji Mohammad Som bin Haji Aji.
The students will have the opportunity to visit Agra, Mumbai and New Delhi and expand their knowledge on various sites of Indian heritage and culture, as well as strengthening their relationships with local youths.
The objectives of the visit are to promote the exchange of ideas, values and culture among all participants while encouraging them to be proactive in promoting peace and understanding.
