TUTONG 478-strong contingent are all set for the Brunei Darussalam National Games from Nov 29 to Dec 6. A total of 23 sports will be competed at various venues around Brunei-Muara, Tutong and Belait Districts.
The Tutong contingent held a flag handing-over ceremony at the Tutong District Civic Halls Complex officiated by the Tutong District Officer, Awg Wardi bin Hj Mohammad Ali.
Also present during the ceremony were members of Legislative Council, Government departments heads, Penghulus, team managers and members of the Tutong contingent.
According to Tutong contingent head Awg Hj Adanan bin Hj Adam, Tutong District will be competing in all 23 sports.
Tutong athletes hoped to improve on their medal tally this year. In the 2012 edition, Tutong were in third position out of 15 contingents, with 24 gold, 29 silver and 36 bronze medals.
In 2012, Brunei-Muara District topped the medal tally with 60 gold, 38 silver and 47 bronze medals followed in the second position by Sports School Council (33 gold, 45 silver and 49 bronze).
