TRAVEL agencies in the country applauded Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) for launching the upgraded Sky Lounge and the new flagship Business Class Lounge at the Brunei International Airport yesterday.

The latest, state-of-the additions will ensure better comfort not only for frequent travellers but also long haul travellers transiting via Brunei International Airport, they said.

According to Nur Khadijah binti Abdullah of Pan Bright Travel Service and Janet Lee, Travel Manager of Freme Travel Services, among the invited guests during the launch ceremony yesterday, the new RB facilities would give a memorable experience to travellers.

“There are many facilities available like the movie room, kid’s room, family zone, gaming area with PS4 and Xbox Kinect as well as a virtual reality station. And the highlight is that prices are very reasonable,” said Nur Khadijah.

“The food is fantastic and I would surely recommend it to our corporate clients,” she added.

Praising the lounges, Janet Lee said, “The facilities are not only for business class travellers, business guests and Royal Skies gold members and silver members, but also for walk-in guests. So everyone can enjoy the facilities.”

However, both officials said RB should consider adding sleeping chairs for long haul guests.

Meanwhile, Lim Guat Wen, RB’s Manager of Loyalty, said, “The new lounges are part of our rebranding journey. Frequent RB business guests and Royal Skies gold members can enjoy the business class lounge exclusively while the Sky Lounge is open for all RB travellers, especially our long haul guests.”

She added, “I hope the long haul guests would really like our Sky Lounge as it offers many facilities to relax on. We also allow Royal Skies silver members to enjoy facilities in the business class lounge as a show of our appreciation. We want our overseas guests to remember us more and fly with us frequently. We have already received very good feedback from our frequent Royal Skies guests.”

RB currently has 320 Royal Skies gold members and 1,500 Royal Skies silver members, locally and worldwide.
