A TRAINING Workshop on building entrepreneurial society, supported by Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd (Brunei LNG), was conducted recently for the Mukim Liang Community Entrepreneurs at the Entrepreneurship Village (EV) in Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD).
The workshop was intended to help 14 Brunei LNG Community Entrepreneurs of Mukim Liang address existing problems in their businesses.
The workshop started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and a welcoming speech by the coordinator of EV, Adna Rahman.
In the first session, incubatees of EV were briefed on the Mukim Liang Community Entrepreneurs’ businesses. The second session saw the entrepreneurs discussing business problems such as difficulties in expanding and promoting their products.
The workshop also saw the incubatees doing a presentation on solutions that could be applied for the entrepreneurs.
Haji Mas Yose bin Abdul, a Recreational Park Project entrepreneur, said, “The involvement of the students of UBD is very encouraging. We are very hopeful of the opinions and ideas they produced.
“The proposed ideas are aligned with the vision of our committee.”
Haji Ishak bin Kassim, a Tongkat entrepreneur, said he hoped the workshop would be held regularly.
Hajah Ismah binti Haji Omar, a Keropok Sabua entrepreneur said the involvement of the students and combining ideas together were very good.

Hajah Napsiah binti Haji Mat, a Krepek Pisang entrepreneur said, “We are grateful for the programme. The workshop gave us more knowledge and experience especially on how to promote the products of our village.
