SEREMBAN (Bernama) – In conjunction with the Visit Malaysia Year 2014, Tourism Malaysia and PLUS Malaysia Bhd (PLUS) yesterday launched the ‘Jom Singgah!’ guide book to promote local cuisine found at the rest-and-service areas (RSA) along the highways.
The 116-page book could be a guide to PLUS highway users to discover the special foods served at selected RSAs as well as tourist destinations in the vicinity.
Speaking to reporters after launching the book at the Seremban RSA (southbound), Chairman of Tourism Malaysia, Tan Sri Dr Ng Yen Yen, said the book was intended to provide information to highway users.
Especially for tourists who use land transport to visit the country.
A total of 80,000 copies of the book published in Bahasa Malaysia can be obtained free at the tourism centres, officers and exhibition centres as well as at customer service centres along PLUS highway while the English version would be released soon.
