TAKE a trip to Taiwan to savour the fine food all visitors rave about and personally feel the warmth of the people. The public is invited to the Taiwan Tourism Bureau’s booth at the much-anticipated Abacus Holiday Travel Fair 2014 which will be held on Sept 27-28 at the Goldstone Ballroom of Centrepoint Hotel, Gadong.
With “Time for Taiwan” as the slogan, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau has combined fine food, shopping and romance-themed travel itineraries, as well as bringing together 42 distinctive events held across Taiwan.
The Taiwan Tourism Calendar, which can be found on www.eventaiwan.tw, introduces the spring, summer, autumn and winter events. It also provides useful information for visitors such as the time, place and theme.
In a press conference held yesterday by the Taiwan Tourism Bureau of the Kuala Lumpur Office, the Director-General of Taiwan Tourism Bureau, David Wei Hsieh, said that there are now 51 certified Muslim-friendly restaurants and hotels that provide a warm welcome to visitors, and 13 national scenic areas that also have prayer rooms and restrooms so Muslim travellers can enjoy a visit to Taiwan without worrying where to eat and pray.
Moreover, Taiwan Tourism Bureau has also established a Malay website – www.taiwan.net.my, that provides Muslim tourist information, such as the introduction of the mosques, Halal certified hotels and restaurants as well as special events held by the Muslim community in Taiwan.
According to David Wei Hsieh, six mosques have now been erected in five different cities in Taiwan, which will give ease for Muslim visitors to pray.
Visitors can look forward to visit a number of fascinating attractions in Taiwan such as the National Palace Museum, Taipei 101, Taroko Gorge, Flora Blossom, Sun Moon Lake and hot spring as well as 23 wonderful theme parks.
During the fair, anyone who buys a Taiwan tour package can receive a Universal Adaptor upon presentation of the receipt at the Taiwan Pavilion.
Anyone buying an individual travel package can receive a Taiwan gift coupon for travelling upon presentation of the receipt which is one per person till stocks last.
