THREE foreigners comprising two females were brought to the Immigration Law Enforcement Section for further investigation yesterday after failing to produce any valid immigration pass document during the OPS CEKUP JIPK 10/2015.
The two female foreigners were caught helping their employer sell food at a stall in Pasar Nika Complex and Tamu Serambangun in Tutong.
It was found that they were in the country holding visitors’ passes.
Meanwhile, the male foreigner was issued a special pass and had his passport seized for investigation.
A total of special passes were issued to 11 foreign nationals and 13 requesting letters were also issued to employers to help investigations.
The operation was led by a head of Immigration officer and 12 personnel.
The Immigration Department reminded employers to always ensure that their employees’ immigration passes were valid and that foreign workers should not misuse their passes.
The department will continue to carry out operations and inspections based on information provided by individual or other law enforcement agencies.
