THE National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC) yesterday held a thanksgiving ceremony in conjunction with the 41st birthday celebration of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, who is also the committee chairman of the NDMC.
Held at the Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Mosque in Kampong Tamoi, the event saw Minister of Home Affairs cum Deputy Chairperson (Permanent) of NDMC Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman as guest of honour.
The ceremony opened with Maghrib prayer, and was followed by Sunnat Hajat prayer and Doa led by Imam Md Faizah bin Janif @ Rosli. Later, the recitation of the Surah Yaasiin, thanksgiving prayer and zikir were held before the event concluded with Isyak prayer.
Also present were Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, permanent secretaries in their capacity as NDMC committee members, department heads from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Mukim Tamoi penghulu, Tamoi village head, personnel from the ministry and the departments under it, as well as villagers from the nearby area.
Meanwhile, a similar event was yesterday held by the Management Services Department of the Prime Minister’s Office in conjunction with the 41st birthday celebration of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah.
Held at the Ash-Shaliheen Mosque of the Prime Minister’s Office Building Complex, the event included the attendance of the Acting Minister of Defence, Dato Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Paduka Haji Ali bin Haji Apong, and Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Wahab bin Juned.
Also in attendance were permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, department heads, senior officers and government officials from the Prime Minister’s Office and its departments, as well as the Takmir Mosque members and members of the public.
The ceremony began with the reading of Surah Yaasiin and Doa Kesyukuran.
