THE Royal Thai Embassy in Brunei Darussalam yesterday held its 5th Thai Culinary Workshop, gathering members of the Diplomatic Corps in Brunei Darussalam as well as guests from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The workshop was held at the Thai Ambassador’s residence in Kampong Mata-Mata, Gadong.
Greeting guests at the workshop was Apichart Phetcharatana, Ambassador of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam. The workshop was conducted by Siriporn Chaimongkol, Minister Counsellor and Deputy Chief of Mission, Thailand.
There were demonstrations on how to prepare Thai Marzipan, Look Choup and spicy minced chicken, Laab Kai, which the participants also got to try.
According to Siriporn, the Royal Thai Embassy tries to hold such events once every two months to show that Thai cooking is not as difficult, in addition to promoting Thai food.
