TELEKOM Brunei Berhad (TelBru) would like to acknowledge and respond to the letter published on August 30, 2014, “Internet in Brunei is nothing to be proud of”.
Please be informed that between August 20 and August 22, 2014, TelBru experienced a fault in its international links, which had caused sporadic and intermittent internet services nationwide.
We have been working closely with our suppliers to address those issues in the shortest possible time and restore services to our valued customers.
We would also like to thank you for your comments. Please be advised that at TelBru, we are working towards addressing some of the issues mentioned, including improvement of its current process of provisioning and quality of fault resolution as well as further enhancing customer experience for internet service.
These improvements are essential to ensure TelBru meets the needs of its customers.
TelBru has already planned FTTH infrastructure in Seria and Kuala Belait. Please refer to our website at https://www.telbru.com.bn/hsbb-areas/ for the coverage area nationwide.
As far as the speed plan is concerned, we would like to take this opportunity to advise you that a 1 Mbps plan is not appropriate for gaming or online-streaming purposes due to the high-paced Internet connectivity which is required for this activity.
On the staff member, we thank you for your kind words and please share with us the name of the staff concerned so that we may extend your appreciation to the staff.
To assist us to investigate your concern further on your Internet connectivity, we would appreciate if you could send your details to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for your continued support.
