ON BEHALF of football teams in Belait, Tutong and Temburong districts I have a few suggestions to the management of National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD).
It seems C licence for coaching (beginners) is being held in the Brunei-Muara District every time and not for others who live in Belait, Tutong and Temburong.
In these districts there many football teams including youth teams and there are also District FAs. We should not deprive them of chances to gain so called professional coaching for the development of football in these districts.
NFABD in cooperation with District FAs should do something about imparting professional knowledge of football in other districts and not confined to Brunei-Muara District only.
Hopefully by early next year such courses could be held in Belait, Tutong and Temburong districts.
These coaches can then be made in charge of football teams in their respective districts. NFABD should pay an allowance to these coaches.
I am sure after one year NFABD can see improvements in the standard of football in all these districts.
Since a lot of qualified coaches are already available in Brunei-Muara District, they should be asked to take charge of all the teams in the DST National League or even teams playing the District League.
I hope my suggestions will be taken up by district representatives during their monthly meetings with NFABD.
These district reps should be bold and brave to talk in the meetings they attend and not just warm up their seats.
