SYARIKAT Amanah Haji Abdullah Petrol Station yesterday celebrated its Golden Jubilee yesterday at the Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque in Kg Bebatik Kilanas.
The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Hj Awg Halbi bin Hj Mohd Yussof.
The event started with a mass Maghrib prayer, followed by a Tahlil and Doa Selamat and a mass Isyak prayer.
Operational since 1963 through the hard work and persistence of its founder, the late Haji Awang Abdullah bin Panglima Raja Awang Osman, Syarikat Amanah Haji Abdullah was initially known as Haji Abdullah Petrol Station and was changed to its current name in 1977.
The station is one of the first built in Brunei and wholly owned by a local Brunei Malay. From a humble beginning of running a petrol station, the company expanded into transportation of heavy equipment and machineries. Today the company has in their inventory seven trailers, one crane and two HIAB crane trucks.
The company’s mission lies in developing and enhancing the company’s manpower, to enhance the quality of life of family members, provide the best possible service with the use of current technology and advanced further in line with current developments.
The Golden Jubilee celebration was planned by family members to show gratefulness to Allah the Almighty for His blessings, to remember the effort and hard work of the founder which is evident until today, as well as to foster closer relationship amongst the family members.
