Sultan’s congratulatory message to UK

HIS Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send congratulatory messages to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and Theresa May, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, as well as members of the royal family, the Government and people of Britain on the occasion of the 91st birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

In the message to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, His Majesty and members of the royal family, as well as the people of Brunei Darussalam wished Her Majesty and members of the royal family a very happy celebration and looked forward to continuing to strengthen the close and historic ties of friendship and cooperation that the two countries have long enjoyed.

In ending the message to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, His Majesty extended his kindest regards and best wishes for Her Majesty’s good health and happiness and for the continued prosperity of the United Kingdom.

In a similar message to Prime Minister Theresa May, His Majesty extended his warmest congra-tulations to the prime minister, the Government and people of the United Kingdom on the occasion of Her Majesty the Queen’s birthday, and conveyed his deep appreciation for the long-standing ties of friendship and cooperation enjoyed by the two countries and its people, and renewed the commitments to enhancing these much-valued ties in the years ahead.

His Majesty concluded his message to May by extending his kindest regards and best wishes.
