HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to leave Busan, Republic of Korea yesterday afternoon after attending the Asean-Republic of Korea Commemorative Summit which was held on December 11-12.
Prior to leaving the Park Hyatt Busan Hotel, a Doa Selamat was read by Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.
Upon arrival at the Gimhae Air Base, Busan, His Majesty viewed a static exhibition of an FA-50 Fighter Light Combat Aircraft manufactured by Korea Aerospace Industries before boarding the Royal Aircraft.
Present at the Gimhae Air Base to bid farewell to His Majesty were Jun Gyung-jin, Vice Mayor of Busan; Lee Kyung-soo, Deputy Minister for Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea; Cho Won-myung, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Brunei Darussalam; as well as senior officers of the Korean government.
Also present to bid farewell to His Majesty were Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II; Pehin Datu Singamanteri Colonel (Rtd) Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Awang Haji Mohammad Yasmin bin Haji Umar, Minister of Energy at the Prime Minister’s Office and Dato Paduka Awang Haji Harun bin Haji Ismail, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to the Republic of Korea.
Accompanying His Majesty was Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abd Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister of Finance II at the Prime Minister’s Office.
