THIRTEEN staff from Cooperative Development Division made a visit to Narcotics Control Bureau’s Al-Islah Centre Cooperative (KOPAI Bhd).
The tour was led by Dyg Norhazamiah binti Hamid, the Head of Cooperative Development.
It was an educational visit for the new staff of the Cooperative Division.
The Deputy Chairperson, Awg Zaki bin Hj Sahak briefed the staff on KOPAI Bhd.
He talked about how the establishment provides jobs to the rehab residents, besides creating business opportunities and providing skills inbusiness.
In the future, KOPAI hopes to open a restaurant in the capital – pastry and cake house. It is also planning to provide tourist and school buses, open daycare centres as well as carry out fish and duck breeding and duck egg business.
The visitors also watched the various business activities carried out by Al-Islah Centre, including catering and canteen services, pastry, cake making and bakery services, retail shops, agriculture and livestock farming and grass cutting services.
The visit ended with the presentation of souveniers.
