STREET Roc continued their quest of taking the Low San Brunei Open title after cruising to a 106-59 win over Hainan BSB in a lopsided quarter-final affair at the Brunei Basketball Association Court in Batu Bersurat last night.
Street Roc remained the most potent threat to stop the Juramas juggernaut assuming the latter prevail in the other quarter match-up later last night and will fancy their chances of not only making it to the final but also to lift the title.
After an easy win with Hainan having a poor points return in the first quarter, Street Roc will now face Rotary, who beat TSL Construction on Monday, in the semi-final.
Street Roc’s Kevin Tay enjoyed a stellar performance after notching a treble of three-pointers in as many minutes to help his side to a century of points before completing a haul of 17 points.
R J Lucida also bagged one trey right at the end of the third quarter with Lim Liang Wei and Hung Ing Wai also enjoying a scoring spree.
In the other end of the court, Hainan’s Terrence Tan was the focal point of most of his team’s scoring and the scoring was also shared with Lim Jin Yee.
The four semi-finalists will return to the court tomorrow as they get closer to a place in the final to vie for the elusive Men’s Tool Box Challenge Cup.
