THE Library and Resource Education Unit under the Curriculum Development Department of the Ministry of Education (MoE) yesterday organised ‘Library 12’ programme for over 30 children (aged between five and 10), helping to fill in their spare time during the December school holidays.

The activities were held at the MoE library at the Old Airport in Berakas.

The programme is a continuation to the ‘Program Mari Bedudun Perpustakaan dan Sumber Pendidikan Jabatan Perkembangan Kurikulum,’ held during the school holidays in the previous years.

The activities lined up for the day included Recycle Craft led by the Media In-Service Centre (MiSC), Magic Show by the Oil and Gas Discovery Centre (OGDC), Frosting for Cupcakes, and creating props for a photo booth.

Certificates were handed out at the end of the programme.

The programme aims to generate a reading culture among the young, encourage them to visit libraries, and enhance cooperation among officers and members of the Library Resource Education Unit.
