STANDARD Chartered will be organising a car boot sale to raise funds for their global charity initiative, ‘Seeing is Believing’. The car boot sale will take place on November 2 at the covered parking lot of Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium under the main stairs from 8.30am to 12pm.
Hafiz Hasheim, Corporate Affairs Manager, said, “We’re always looking for fun and innovative ways to reach out and engage with the community. The ‘Seeing is Believing’ car boot sale provides a fun environment for families and friends to spend their Sunday morning and to also raise money for a good cause.”
The ‘Seeing is Believing’ car boot sale is open to the public and also for potential participants to set up their booths. For more information on registration, e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 2366095 during office hours, or drop a message to the Standard Chartered Brunei Facebook page. Spaces are limited so registration will be on a first-come-first-serve basis and the deadline for registration is October 30.
The registration fee of $30 from the participants will be donated to ‘Seeing is Believing’ and participants who wish to donate a percentage of their earnings can do so.
‘Seeing is Believing’ is Standard Chartered Bank’s global charity initiative to tackle visual impairment and avoidable blindness. Started in 2003, ‘Seeing is Believing’ aims to raise US$100 million by 2020.
