A STALL supervisor at a popular nighttime outdoor eating area called Tamu Selera has become the latest victim of rising crime in Brunei Darussalam as thieves ransacked his stall, stealing several items in the process.
Hj Yunus bin Hj Zainal, the supervisor of stalls 11 and 12 situated in one of the corners of the hawker centre shared that his stall had been ransacked on Sunday and that cash, a blender and a rice cooker were stolen.
“I have reported the case to the central police station and pointed out that my stall was the second to be burgled within two weeks. Another stall located nearby was ransacked three times in the past. I hope this will serve as an eye-opener to the relevant agencies involved to monitor the area and improve their abilities to stop these crimes”, he added.
