THE Suri Seri Begawan Hospital (SSBH) recently celebrated its 42nd anniversary with a 42-times Khatam ceremony at their multipurpose hall in Kuala Belait.
Dr Hjh Rahmah Hj Md Said, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Professional and Technical) at the Ministry of Health was the guest of honour. Also present was Mohmad Hj Abd Hamid, the Chief Executive Officer of SSBH.
The event commenced with the recitation of Al-Fatihah, led by Ustaz Ali Omar Hj Mohd Yusof, followed by readings of the Takhtim.
Participants of the Khatam were reminded during the event of the many benefits of reading the Al-Quran, especially when it is made as part of one’s daily activities.
Not only can it be used as protection for the end of days but also as an incentive to maintain spiritual health.
This is one of the events held every November to commemorate the hospital’s anniversary since its establishment in 1972.
