The national team have played all of their games in the group managing two points and will now aim to restore pride at the end of round games.
Chinese Taipei look likely as the front-runner for the third spot in Group B but Myanmar also have the chance to pick up the points and quite possibly harming Brunei’s chances of securing third place among Asean ranked nations.
Myanmar were soundly beaten by Malaysia 87-20 as expected while India outfought Vietnam
56-32 to enable Brunei retain their Asean standings.
Today’s round of fixtures will determine the fate of Brunei Darussalam’s overall placing in the group. The desired scenario at this stage is to finish above Myanmar or better above Chinese Taipei but their fate is now out of their hands.
Singapore comfortably advanced to the semifinals following their 63-28 victory against Hong Kong.
