THE Co-Curricular Education Department, Ministry of Education, yesterday handed over the appointment letter for hosting Extra Co-Curricular Activities (ECA) for secondary schools and colleges in 2015 as well as sports equipment to the host school.
The ceremony was held at the Sports School’s meeting room at Kg Pulaie. Awg Roslin bin Suhailee, Acting Assistant Director of Co-Curriculum Education Department, presented the appointment letter and sports equipment to a school representative.
Awg Roslin highlighted that there are over 40 events this year, involving more than 30 secondary schools. Among the sports events are football, netball, sepak takraw, badminton, futsal, ping pong, ten pin bowling and rugby. The last two are newly contested sports this year.
All events will be contested in August. Brunei will then be preparing to host the Asean Sports Games in November 2015.
Present at the event yesterday were the principal, senior officers and officers from Co-Curricular Education Department.
