SINGAPORE (Bernama) – Singapore Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli begins a two-day working visit to Terengganu yesterday to enhance relations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the visit is part of Singapore’s efforts to strengthen ties between the republic and various Malaysian states, including to promote closer economic links and people-to-people exchanges.
Masagos was scheduled to have an audience with the Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, at Istana Syarqiyyah in Chendering, it said.
The statement said he would also call on Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman.
Masagos will also meet members of the Terengganu Malay Chamber of Commerce and Terengganu Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry and attend a briefing given by the State Economic Planning Unit and the East Coast Economic Region Development Council on development in Terengganu, it added.
